Slit Seeding

Slit-seeding combines vertical mowing with seeding. Slit seeders utilize closely-spaced vertical cutting blades or discs to create a shallow furrow, or slit in the turf, in which seeds are placed.

Since the seed is placed in direct contact with the soil, seeding success is high when using slit-seeders. In addition, existing grass and debris does not need to be completely removed prior to the overseeding process.
